JEC is defeated by Macaé in the Arena and sees a vacancy in the G4 more distant

Joinville wasted a chance on Sunday to enter the group of four best (G4) of the Brazilian Serie C's B-key when defeated 4-2 by Macaé at the Arena. The result has left the Tricolor in difficult situation in the competition.

With the setback, the team will have to win the two remaining games - against Bragantino outside and Mogi Mirim at home - to advance to the decisive stage and continue in the fight for access to the Second Division. In addition, with 21 points and in seventh place, the JEC is now threatened by Macaé, who is 18, and Bragantino, who adds 17.

Mathematically, the Tricolor can still be reached by these two clubs that are fighting a dispute to see that it gets rid of relegation. Mogi Mirim, who lost to Volta Redonda 4-0 on Sunday, has ten points.

The game between JEC and Macaé began at a fast pace, with home owners creating the best chances and cornering the opponent. The goal was a matter of time and he came early for the joy of the fans. After 12 minutes, Bruno Rodrigues crossed the ball in the area and Eliomar, head, opened the scoring.

After the goal, the JEC continued on top, seeking to extend the advantage, but in a fortuitous bid, at 23, Rogerinho risked the kick, the ball deflected in the rear and covered the goalkeeper Matheus: 1 to 1. From there, the dream Became a nightmare.

The Tricolor continued giving the cards, pressing the Macaé, but not being able to put the ball in the net. To make matters worse, at 45, in a free throw, Eliomar, the goalkeeper, was hard-hit and was given a yellow card.
As he had already received another card before, the half was eventually expelled. It was a bucket of cold water in the fans and the team.

JEC returned to the confident second half that could win, even with one player less. Just did not count on the great performance of Macaé. Soon in the first minute, the team from Rio de Janeiro sought the attack, the ball hit the hand of a defender of the JEC and the referee scored a penalty. Rogerinho charged and made it 2-1.

The partial defeat made the team of coach Pingo to play for the attack, leaving spaces generous for the counter-attack adversary. Buiu had a chance to equalize after five minutes, kicking the ball on the crossbar. Then, at 12, Grampola fell in the area and asked for a penalty, but the referee did not score anything.

Equality on the score came only just when Grampola was knocked over, and this time the referee signaled the penalty. He charged himself and scored.

But the cheerleader's joy did not last long. In 30, in a fast counterattack, striker Maradona made the third and then, at 38, the fourth goal of Macaé. The afternoon was petrified and the game was stopped by.

It was JEC's first defeat at the Arena in games valid for Serie C and Macaé's first away win.
