"I have accepted the paper without knowing that the character was of Asian origin in the original BD books. There has been an intense debate and understandable discontent since the announcement [that would be the chosen one] and I have to do what I feel is correct," wrote the Actor of 34 years, known for the roles in Deadpool, Transporter: Maximum Power or The War of the Thrones.

"Representing ethnic diversity is important, especially for me, who come from a mixed heritage family. We have a responsibility to make moral decisions in difficult times and to give voice to inclusiveness," added Skrein of Austrian and English descent, saying "Sad" for giving up the role, but hopeful to make a difference.
